Build an icon of humanity’s first steps on the Moon.

On July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first people to walk on another world while Michael Collins orbited above them aboard the command module Columbia. During their historic two-hour-and-31-minute moonwalk, Armstrong and Aldrin collected lunar samples, deployed scientific instruments, and captured images that continue to inspire generations.

This Premium Series Metal Earth 3D Model Kit recreates an Apollo 11 astronaut wearing the protective spacesuit and life-support backpack that made those first lunar steps possible. The real Apollo spacesuits shielded the astronauts from the Moon’s harsh environment, where surface temperatures could range from approximately -183°C to 106°C.

Standing 5.3 inches tall when assembled, this detailed metal model makes a striking desk display and a rewarding hands-on project for space-history enthusiasts and experienced model builders.

🔭 From the Desk of Paul Bracken:

"Apollo 11 never loses its power to inspire. What makes this model especially compelling is that it puts the focus on the astronaut—the human being inside all that extraordinary spacecraft and engineering. With its detailed spacesuit and life-support backpack, the finished model is a wonderful tribute to the courage it took to step onto another world. This is a challenging build, so bring along some fine tweezers or small needle-nose pliers, take your time, and enjoy the journey."
