Build the spacecraft combination that made the first Moon landing possible.
Apollo 11 relied on two very different spacecraft working together with extraordinary precision. The Command and Service Module (CSM), named Columbia, carried the crew between Earth and lunar orbit. The Lunar Module (LM), named Eagle, was designed to carry two astronauts down to the Moon and return them safely to the orbiting CSM.
On July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin separated Eagle from Columbia and descended to the Sea of Tranquility while Michael Collins remained in lunar orbit. After completing humanity’s first moonwalk, Armstrong and Aldrin launched aboard the Lunar Module’s ascent stage, rendezvoused with Collins, and docked with Columbia. The crew and lunar samples were transferred into the CSM before the three astronauts began their journey home.
This challenging Metal Earth 3D Model Kit recreates the docked Apollo Command and Service Module and Lunar Module, showcasing the remarkable spacecraft configuration that traveled to the Moon.

🔭 From the Desk of Paul Bracken:
"The brilliance of Apollo wasn’t contained in a single spacecraft. It came from several specialized machines working together with almost unbelievable precision. The Lunar Module could land on the Moon but couldn’t return to Earth, while the Command and Service Module could bring the crew home but couldn’t land. This model captures the view when those two remarkable spacecraft were united. With four metal sheets and plenty of intricate components, it’s a demanding build—but the finished Apollo stack makes a spectacular display."
