Hold the cosmos in your hands.

Before the days of high-speed internet, the best way to see the latest robotic exploration images from the Viking and Voyager missions was to write to NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory and ask for a press packet. We've recreated that thrilling, tactile experience with our exclusive line of high-quality physical photo prints.

This 8.5" x 11" print features NGC 6960 - The Witch's Broom. Located roughly 2,400 light-years away in the constellation Cygnus, the Witch's Broom is a stunning piece of a much larger structure known as the Cygnus Loop. Unlike the stellar nurseries or gentle planetary nebulas in our collection, this is a supernova remnant—the violent aftermath of a massive star exploding! Between 10,000 and 20,000 years ago, a star many times more massive than our Sun detonated, sending a brilliant shockwave racing outward into space at millions of miles per hour. What we see today as glowing, twisted filaments that look like a celestial broomstick is actually the leading edge of that ancient shockwave actively slamming into interstellar gas and dust, superheating it until it glows! Produced on premium one-sided gloss paper, this piece delivers stunning clarity and vibrant colors on the front.

On the reverse side, you'll find an engaging scientific description of this region, along with the exact Bracken Observatory equipment and exposure specs used to capture the shot—including 14 hours and 57 minutes of total exposure time using our EdgeHD 14" telescope—just like the classic JPL media packets of the 1980s.

Whether you're an educator looking for engaging classroom materials, a parent sharing the wonders of the universe with your kids, or an astronomy enthusiast wanting a beautiful physical print to frame, this is the perfect way to experience the cosmos away from a screen.

🔭 From the Desk of Paul Bracken:

"The Witch's Broom is such a beautifully violent target. Because the filaments of this supernova remnant are so incredibly fine and wispy, we utilized the longer focal length of the EdgeHD 14 telescope to really get up close to the shockwave. Dedicating nearly 15 hours of exposure time allowed us to capture the delicate, twisted structure where the blast is actively slamming into interstellar gas. It is a striking, dynamic piece that looks absolutely phenomenal on a physical print, especially during the autumn stargazing season!"
